What I do: What I do: I'm a Toronto-based writer, editor and new media team leader. I'm currently working for zinc Roe design and completing a book project. I am still available for occasional freelance projects.

Experience: I've been writing and editing for websites, magazines, newspapers, companies, public sector offices and educational institutions for more than 10 years. New media projects (including websites, games and iPhone apps) and content strategy are my specialty. Since August, 2009 I've also been leading project teams through development--from brainstorming through to Q/A and launch.

Education and training: I hold a Bachelor of Journalism (1995) and a Master of Arts, English (1998) from Carleton University in Ottawa. I've also taken professional development courses and workshops in writing, editing and business.

Where I'm from: I grew up on the west coast. My hometown is Campbell River, B.C.

What I'm into: In my spare time I enjoy colourful yarns (stories or wool). I'm a member of the Toronto Writers Salon, the Stitch 'n' Brunch Knitters Guild and Girls Gone Graphic, a local pod of creative-types who are learning to draw comics.
