Suzanne Alyssa Andrew

I’m an author and storyteller based in Toronto.

I'm a fiction writer, freelance journalist, writer and editor, and the president and biographer-in-chief of Biograflyer.

Fiction

My first novel, Circle of Stones (Dundurn Press) launched in 2015 to positive reviews. My comic book, "All of This," with illustrator Jonathan Kociuba launched at the Toronto Comic Arts Festival in May, 2018. Our collaboration is going so well we plan to follow it up with a graphic novel. I also published a notable story, "Evidence," about a crime that happens at a band's last show, in Joyland magazine in 2018.

Readings and talks

I'm available for literary readings, talks, interviews and events. I’ve performed my work in bookstores, libraries, cafes, bars and at conferences across Canada, including in Toronto, Montreal, Saskatoon, Regina and Vancouver Island. I’ve also given talks to highschool, college and university classes about writing and the writing life.

Journalism

I write about things I care about (usually music, books and art). To date I’ve contributed to The WalrusNOW magazine, Canadian Art, Canada's Walk of Fame Magazine, Quill & Quire, Taddle Creek, The Toronto Star, The National PostChatelaine, Broken Pencil, She Does the City, OCAD University's Sketch magazine, the 49th Shelf and Open Book Toronto. Biograflyer and other writing

My company, Biograflyer, helps professionals communicate who they are, and what they have to offer, in a meaningful way.

As a freelancer I've written for storytelling projects across platforms, including websites, games, interactive documentaries and cross-platform television projects. View my portfolio book.
